Maori Book 📚

Description: In class we had to make a Maori book to explain a topic. Classroom, your family etc. Here is the link to my slide.

Evaluation: It was really fun and I enjoyed creating my family book.

Feedback/Feedforward: I really liked how clearly you set out your slides. It was great to learn some new Maori words and their meanings. Next time see if there is a way to record yourself reading the Maori words so that people can learn how to say it correctly. Mum.

The prep and market experience

Descriprion: in class we had to do a reflection on the market and the prep experience. Here are my hats and poster of how to make pipe cleaner men.

Evaluation: prep and the market was really fun!

Yellow hat: At the start Qwade and I merged our ideas together to make the idea of pipe cleaner men and comic strips. Plus our product sold out which was good and our profit was $73.50.


Black hat: so when the stall next to us sold out they started playing guitar so that meant no one could hear our advertisement! But luckily Mum and Rosie helped me move our stall to another place. Thanks Mum. Plus we went over budget but got our money back with a profit of $73.50.


Blue hat: Next time I want to try to get to $100 in profit and definitely sell something else.

Graphs

Description: here are my graphs. There is a block graph, bar graph and a pie graph. We had a survey that we had to do about the market and had to add up the answers to the questions. And that's how the graphs came to be.

Evaluation: it was fun and educational.

This is a pie graph. I found out the numbers by using a calculator timing the number by one hundred and dividing it by thirty two.

maths: geometry2

W.A.L.T: do geometry 
Description: in maths we have a special group of kids that come to see a maths lady called Diana. I was apart of the group, but today I was in a workshop with Rosie today and here is what I learnt. I learnt about faces on a shape, faces on a shape are complete sides on a shape. I also learnt about vertices, vertices are corners of a shape. And finally I also learnt about things being parallel, parallel means that the sides of a shape are opposite and never touch. Her is an image of my shape. I made a rectangular prism today with plaster seen and straws. We had to cut the straws to make them the right length, but I had an easy tactic. I cut the top bit of the straw and then I cut the big bit too.

Evaluation: I this that maths is very very fun and educational.

Seed 2 table

W.A.L.T: cook food from the country that we are researching.
Description: Every day in week 5 we did something called seed 2 table. Seed 2 table is kind of like cooking technology at Ross intermediate. We had a choice and my group picked Great Britain/England. We cooked cottage pie and Eton mess. Here are some photos of seed 2 table.
Evaluation: I think that it was yummy.

Research about England

Description: this term we have been doing seed to table. In seed to table we had a choice of countries and here are the country's England, Bangladesh, Italy, Greece and Mexico. My group and I chose England. In seed to table we cooked food from England. Then after that my group made a slide about England and we had to research England's food and other thing to make the slide. Here it is.

Poutokomanawa Olympics 2

Description: in class we have been doing our own mini Olympics ( but without the sports). I have now finished task 1, task 2, task 3 task 4, task 5 and task 6. Here they are the tasks I've finished and here is a poster about Brazil.

Evaluation: I think that it was pretty easy because it was just reading and researching, then write down the answers and BOOM your done.

Description: in reading we have been learning how to understand the book that we are reading, but instead of us just reading a book, we had ten tasks we had to complete but we could only but we could only choose five, and here are my five I picked.

Maths 3

Description: we have been learning area and perimeter.

This is another question. First izzy and I counted the amount of squares in the shape.
