El rancho writing

Description: This writing is about how dangerous El Rancho is. I wrote to convince and persuade somebody about this.
W.A.L.T: to write a persuasive argument

Is El rancho a safe and happy place for you and your family?

Is El rancho a safe and happy place for you and your family? Some people say that it's safe but like me, some people disagree. Of course El rancho looks safe on the outside but it is not so safe on the inside.

I highly disagree that El rancho is a safe and happy place because the chefs are mean. They tell you to “HURRY, move along” and they make you eat until you are full. They also sound soooo grouchy. They are not welcoming and who would want to be yelled at in the morning? To be honest, the food wasn't that great.

Secondly, the activities are not so safe. There are activities like rifles, archery, and the pool. There are reasons why they are dangerous. Rifles are dangerous because what if someone breaks in and steals the guns and goes on a shooting spree? Archery is dangerous because what if someone went to collect the arrows when the other people are still shooting? Finally, the pool is dangerous because what if everyone gets into the pool and drowns someone and what if someone goes to the deep end and drowns?

Thirdly, the cabins were just OK and the sleeping was fine. However, I was disturbed about the marks on the mattress like pee stains. There were inappropriate stuff on the walls like “put your finger in the hole and you will be trapped forever”. Creepy right? Would you want you children sleeping in a cabin with that on the walls?

Without a doubt, El rancho is not a safe and happy place. As a result I believe that I have provided specific evidence to support my argument. Therefore El rancho isn't a safe place for you and your family because the chefs are mean, the activities are dangerous and the cabins are not great. Do you agree with me?

Feedback/feedforward: Logan that story was really good I wish that you should make more arguments like this.

Evaluation: I think that I did a good job and I think that I could persuade the judges.

Reading 2

W.A.L.T/Description: we had to compare the differences and similarities with myths and legends out of a book.

Evaluation: I think that I meet the criteria and put lots of examples.

Feedback/feedforward: Wow! Great job Logan! You put lots of examples of both and also what they have in common. Maybe you could have put an example of an actual myth and a legend in each circle.
